TRACY DIINA COMMUNICATIONS NOW OFFERS STRATEGIC PLANNING, MANAGEMENT CONSULTING AND EVENT PLANNING

Tracy Diina Communications has added targeted new services, including strategic planning, management consulting and event planning. We have added two new professionals to our ever-growing team, the eponymous Wendy Diina and Western New York native Lucy Cook.

Wendy Diina currently serves as the Director of the JoAnn Falletta International Guitar Concerto Competition, an event co-produced by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and WNED, the public television and radio stations for Western New York and Southern Ontario. She also serves as an on-air host for WNED-TV and Classical 94.5/WNED-FM and is a writer for national PBS in Washington, DC scripting for programs including “Nova”, “Great Performances”, “The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer” and “Sesame Street”.

A veteran of public television and radio for over 15 years, Wendy has a diverse background in television production, promotion, marketing, sales, fundraising and event management. As the former director of the Buffalo Niagara Guitar Festival she is experienced in large-scale events with audiences numbering over 100,000 and has also worked on smaller-scale, more intimate events. Wendy has produced “A Prairie Home Companion” at Sheas Center for the Arts, managed an annual bi-national golf tournament held at Legends on the Niagara in Niagara-on-the-Lake, managed WNED’s Great TV Auction and created new community events including an annual Kid Fest in Buffalo and another in Toronto, Ontario.

Lucy A. Cook has been involved in the not-for-profit management field for thirty years in a variety of capacities.  Holding positions as diverse as grassroots organizer for an Arson Awareness Program to director of a political education committee for labor unions to founding Executive Director of the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, Lucy has a proven track record of establishing key relationships within community, government and private sector organizations and using those relationships to build organizational strength.  Lucy is very familiar with the work of non-profit community development organizations after serving as a Management Consultant for Resource Development and Communications with the Mid-Atlantic District office of NeighborWorks® America – a congressionally funded housing intermediary. 

Now as an independent consultant, Lucy has a holistic approach to her consulting work and believes that all aspects of an organization are vital to successful growth and sustainability and as such, need to be included in any consulting engagement.  With a special emphasis on Resource Development, Lucy has consulting strengths in capacity building, event planning, strategic planning and facilitation.
